Remove cabling in front garden

I’ve just purchased a property which has previously had Virgin installed. The installers have just put the cable across the front garden in a green plastic tube rather than burying in the ground.

should I just cut the cable or will virgin come and remove? Property is in sw15.

Thanks.

Re: Remove cabling in front garden

you shouldn't remove the cable. VM will not remove it. If you post some pictures they might get the area manager to arrange it to be buried .

Re: Remove cabling in front garden

Its always a bad idea removing the cable.  You never know what may happen in the future and if you did want to join its a lot more simple if you have an existing cable to the property

Thanks. Here is the cable, they’ve very lazily installed... Hopefully someone from VM will respond and remove.

Re: Remove cabling in front garden

Its very unlikely VM will send someone to tidy or remove that cable.

In my area its a common sight with these cables running along thier paved drive ...yes its a ugly sight even if you using VM service.

You could bury that cable under the soil and bit of gardening. If the area was paved then I can understand your frustration as your options be limited.
