I recently moved I to a new home which has a Virgin box and wiring which I never plan to use and want removed.

Internal box or the external box on the wall ?

If internal, trace the wire to the outside box and unscrew it and remove it.  If it's the external box, that's a bit more complicated.

wait for staff to get to the thread - they will contact the eara field manager [AFM] - that can have mixed results - some will send a tech to do what you ask - others will ignore you in the hope you go away

if you are intent on having it removed - that will likely mark the house as non serviceable should yo decide to want VM in the future give VM a chance but also give them a time scale and if they do nothing which is certainly possible remove it all and put it in a skip or dustbin

take no notice of those who say its a utility and cannot be removed - it is not and it can

Hi amywwww,

Welcome to the Community and thank you for posting.

We would be happy to assist with the equipment removal but in order to do so, can you please confirm if the box is external or internal?

Also as -tony- has advised, this would change the status of your address to unserviceable meaning there would possibly be delays with installation if you chose to join us in the future. If you are still happy to proceed, please do let us know and we will contact the appropriate team for assistance.

Thank you,

It’s internal. I still want it removed. Thanks.

Hi @Anonymous,

Thank you for coming back to us and confirming that you're wanting to remove the internal cabling. In order to do this, I will send you a Private Message to see what we can do to help.

Please keep an eye out for a purple envelope at the top right corner of your Forum page. I'll be in touch soon.

Thank you.
