QuickStart with Telewest box- no WiFi/Internet

Hi folks,
I’ve received a QuickStart kit and got it connected to a Telewest box which was in my flat but which I’ve never used. Was told when ordering that fibre available at my address and QuickStart eligible. 

I’ve plugged everything in as instructed but stuck with solid green wifi light a flashing green power light. Tried various resets, checked all cables attached securely etc. 

Also tried connecting laptop direct to hub using Ethernet but no joy...

Any ideas at all or is this an engineer job?

You need to phone and activate the kit.  If you have already done this, then the incoming feed my not be connected in the street cabinet.

Called Virgin this morning and service should have been activated; call handler said it might take up to an hour but- several hours later- back to square one with flashing green power light and green WiFi light...

Sounds like it might be the cable is not connected in the street cabinet. Either way phone back and request an engineer.
