Problems with new account

Hi, ordered virgin broadband. Kit arrived today. Just set it all up (triple checked cables etc). 

have a white light on router which guide says means everything is working but when I connect my phone or any other device I’m greeted with a Virgin page saying there’s problems connecting. I click the fix now button which makes no difference. I’ve reset router using pin in back and retired but same thing happens. Tried calling Virgin - can’t get through on phone. Says phone lines are closed and disconnects.

 

ive got sky being installed tomorrow morning and they need a working broadband connection

 

any advice please?

white light is good and usually means all ok - have you activated the hub - 0800 953 9500 - 

have you tried a wired connection

Hi. Thanks for the reply. How do I activate the hub?  Assumed this would be automatic upon setting up?

some are automatic i believe but not all so you need to ring the activation line on the number above
