Priority installation

My severely disabled daughter has finally got a new home in supported accommodation but can't move in until a telephone line is connected so her carers have access to a 24/7 emergency line. The earliest appointment is currently a month away. Can you help us get a priority appointment?

You can call Pre-install on 0800 0521734 to find out when the hub should be installed for broadband. Has it been explained to you that the landline is provided by the handset which is connected via an adapter to the hub? As a disabled person she would also be entitled to a free emergency backup device which uses the mobile network to call 999 or 112.

Hi there @Effie2, welcome to our forum and thanks for your post.

I'm sorry to see this install delay is preventing your daughter moving into her new accommodation. I can certainly understand the urgency of this being installed. We can certainly raise this to the area manager to see if there are any earlier appointments available. This is not guaranteed, however it is certainly worth trying.

I'll pop you over a PM to confirm some details so I can email the area manager.

Regards

Nathan

Thank you, I've done that. I'm sorry I didn't include the account number but I don't have it hand, if you still need that please say as I can add it.
