Pre instalation cables

A while ago I was planning to switch to Virgin from Sky, I was not notified about the pre installation cable, anyway this was done, and ultimately I decided to remain with Sky. I now have a 5 meter cable (approx) unravelled on my drive.

Is this live or can I chop it off? as apparently VM will not come out to sort the issue.

Re: Pre instalation cables

If you might consider a move to VM at any point in the future, see if you can find any way to deal with the cable (bury it, clip it to a fence, hide it under a bush etc. etc.)

There are a huge number of topics on here about customers who have had huge delays (lasting many months) in simply bringing a cable from the street to their property.

If you have already had that done, that would probably be of great benefit for any VM installation you might consider in the future.

If not, I am sure others on here will soon come forward with their alternative suggestions on how to deal with it!!

Re: Pre instalation cables

Thank you, We have just decided to cable tie it, and lean t against the wall. I't looks ridiculous, but better than nothing. Thanks for your reply!
