Pausing device usage through Virgin wifi App

A number of devices which I paused or stopped the connection to the hub using the Wifi control app can no longer connect to online services/ apps / browser, this includes  iPhones and iPads. Whilst they recognise the hub and have a full signal, they cannot connect to The internet. I have tried resetting the devices in question, therefore the app instructions must still apply, the question is how to over rule. I have tried pausing and unpausing again. I have rebooted the hub using the app and physically- I have also created a new network. Anyone know a solution?

Do a hub reset not a reboot.
