Password not working on new hub

Hi All

I have recently transferred from personal broadband to business, having set up my own business.

However, the password that is on the back of the router is not working and I am yet to access it.

Any ideas what I may have been doing  wrong or how I can rectify it?

Thanks

Dan

Sorry, I thought the technical issues would still be similar and I was hoping someone may be able to help me.

And yes they are similar, the basic infrastructure is the same, it's just that the business offering has a few 'quirks', shall we say, of its own; the forum team here don't have the same level of access to the backend people to change stuff as they do for the domestic customers - hence the oft quoted 'sorry but we can't help' messages.

Now, there is a reasonable chance that the VM hub you have been sent is not new and is indeed a refurbished old one - and by refurbished, read, 'given a quick wipe over with an oily rag and sent back out'. So the first thing I would try is a full factory reset - now you don't mention which VM hub you have, but somewhere on it will be a tiny 'reset' hole which you stick a bent paper clip into. You will 'feel' a click as the button is depressed - now hold it in for a good 60 seconds and allow the hub to reset itself. All being well, it'll go back to factory defaults and the password on the sticker should then work - incidentally you are using the admin password and not the WiFi password aren't you?

Otherwise then, I'm afraid you will need to call the support number.

Hi Boyd2715,

As the Super Users have already mentioned, we don't support business queries here on the residential side, sorry!

However, you can call the Business teams on 0800 052 0800 and they will be happy to help, or you can Post on the link Ernie_C mentioned above 🙂

I am sorry we can't help further on here!
