On a rolling month to month but can't upgrade via site?

Trying to upgrade account for a few months from rolling month to 12 month, because it's allot cheaper. Always receive an error. I assume it's how crafty virgin media are to get you on the phone. 

Anyways everytime I received the error I've rang only never to get through, always busy or disconnected from the line so I always say I'll try again tomorrow and never do. I am in this situation again today. We are paying nearly £48 a month for internet and I see a deal for the same speed at £34 but can't go ahead with it.

Any help would be appreciated, I'm on the line here for now 36 mins waiting. I understand the problem with this COVID. But why show you upgrade session and not let you upgrade?
