Old wall socket

Hi,

I’ve recently moved to a property that had virgin media broadband and TV therefore I thought I would stay with the current supplier to make things easier.

I went for the QuickStart given I thought it would be a case of simply plugging it in and switching on however the wall sockets I have don’t seem to accommodate the isolater cables provided. Any suggestions?

why are things like this never straightforward...?

Thanks!

Re: Old wall socket

This is the sockets I have. The isolater cable cannot grip these. It just fall off.

Re: Old wall socket

The wall socket will have the Virgin Media logo, predecessor companies included NTL and Telewest.

If you can find the termination box ftted to the exterior wall, often brown or grey in colour, the socket is usually directly opposite on the interior wall.
