Not connecting

I had my first Virgin Media broadband installed this morning. Everything went well with the installation, however I can not connect to the internet. I have tried resetting the router as advised but have had no luck. The WiFi light is steady green but the but the Internet light blinks green. The bar at the bottom cycles between steady green and flashing green. Any advice would be appreciated. Joe.

Was this an engineer install?  If so they should have demonstrated it working before leaving.

If it was a self install, you will need to call the activation number. 0800 953 9500

Appparently there are activation problems at the moment. Try the activation number in the morning.

Activation issue has been ongoing since 8am

Called 3 times, last time I was told "it's not just you, it's everyone". As you can imagine knowing of other people's misery made me feel so much better. 

I was told the issue would be resolved within 3 working days.
