Re: Non essential visits

You can check the current policy at https://www.virginmedia.com/help/coronavirus-update but there's been no announced changes.

There will be a backlog of visits too.

Re: Non essential visits

Thanks

Read that-hasn’t changed for a while

virgin media are being unhelpful. There is no reason why they cannot make visits after 17may.

if I can sit in a virgin Atlantic plane with 300 other souls in an aluminium tube there is absolutely no reason why they cannot make visits to homes (with the appropriate questions and precautions)

The only reason I can see is that virgin media continue to debit their customers account benefiting financially whilst their customers lose out.

Disappointing

but thanks for your help anyway

Re: Non essential visits

We are about to go into another phase of relaxation of restrictions

I can see absolutely no reason why virgin media are unable to give an idea of when non essential visits can restart.

what is virgin media waiting for? Further instructions from the govt? The roadmap has been know for some time

Its just unfair to your current customers

Re: Non essential visits

They might be waiting for the announcement at 5pm today to decide on the course to take.

For example, the company I work for is currently deciding on whether to allow staff into homes depending on how long they expect to be there and proposing to ask customers to open windows and wipe down any surfaces that staff may touch. Just because it's May 17th soon doesn't mean it's all over and everything can go back to normal.

Re: Non essential visits

Thanks for coming back to us @Willmart.

We have received an update today, to say that we can now start to book in non-essential visits from today.

Although we will be working through the backlog of orders at first but if you contact the team they will be able to look into this for you and book the visit.

Regards,

Steven_L

Re: Non essential visits

Thanks

the problem is that it takes 1-2 hrs to get through to someone. What is the best way to get this organised as I have been asking for it for severa months? Does that mean I am in a queue or part of the backlog?

Re: Non essential visits

Thanks for coming back to us @Willmart.

Have the team advised that you were put onto a wait list to have a visit?

What type of visit are you trying to raise with ourselves?
