No wall socket.

Hi there, received my self install kit yesterday and am a little confused! I don't have a wall socket inside the house just a cable coming through the wall from a virgin media box on the outside. Any advise would be appreciated!

That looks like the isolator is outside, when it should be inside under a white cover?

I am not sure if it matters, just plug the modem into the cable.

Unless you have internet and Tivo? then you will need a splitter too

But I stand to be corrected

Thanks for the info. I did try to plug the splitter provided in my pack into the cable which enters the house and then into the hub but it wouldn't connect. I'll try ringing Virgin media again but it's been a nightmare to get through!

What were the symptoms of 'wouldn't connect'?

The kit may require activating.
