I have recently purchased a Virgin Media broadband service. I received the equipment to set up yesterday but I do not have the correct wall socket. I would be grateful if you could advise what I need to do next. thank you
you wouldn't be able to order a self install unless the house has had virgin media in the past. Look and see if you have a brown Omni box on the outside where the cable comes from the VM network to your house. From there it should come though your wall to a box on the inside.
If this has been removed you will need to contact VM for a manned install

Hi, thanks for your reply. Yes there is a brown box (cabelTel) outside the house and a box on the inside but I thought this was the TV aerial. I did try to fit the cable but it didn't seem to fit and I didn't want to force it. Not quite sure what to do...?
