No virgin media socket

Hi. I've just moved to a house and ordered quick start. I don't really have proper virgin media socket here... there is a splitter. My Internet works (I pay for 200mb and I have 200mb and 20upload). I couldn't push the cable into my router (as described in a manual) I had to screw it. There is a cable from the wall(I don't have proper virgin media socket ) and it was connected to a splitter and one cable goes to another room(I guess for a TV). I just removed splitter and connected cable from the wall straight into my router.

Will it cause any problems or it's fine to use it this way?

As long as the isolator cable in the Quick start kit is fitted, this is fine.  Some properties do not have a socket, but just a cable as you have already found out 🙂
