No tv

Recieve equipment to carry out quick/ self Installing (plug and play basically). Broadband fine no television. Upon the verifying point of software installation keeps saying, Could not verify. All my connections are secure. Did everything asked. Cant get on to anyone at Virgin. Can anyone assist?
