No connection

Hi, I just got my new hub in my new flat and I'm having some problems to set it up. There is a connector cable already stuck in the wall socket, so I connected the cable with the red stick from the hub where you can see in the picture. I followed the instructions to set the hub up and still it's not working at all. Can somebody help this poor soul? Thanks
