No coax socket

There was previously VM in our property (last owners) so Virgin said we'd be ok to swap but when Hub arrived I've realised all we have is a standard phone socket(in photo). Any idea if we can work around or how to make an appointment to get VM engineer out?

Re: No coax socket

Virgin do not use their telephone wiring to distribute Broadband. The cable coming into that socket is exclusively for their phone service only.

Follow the wire back to the external box & look for a thicker coaxial cable like the ones used for a TV aerial. This may enter the house at a different place to the phone wire.

VM BB TV Landline. Vonage 2nd line. Freeview/Freesat HD, ASDA/Tesco PAYG Mobile. Customer since 1993
