New self install flashing green lights

Received my new Hub 3 today (for BB only) for a self install as I had Virgin TV & BB 18 months ago.

All hooked up as shown in the install instructions.

I have no internet. Just a green wifi light and a flashing green light.

Left it for ages. Tried a couple of resets and double checked the connections.

But no luck.

Is there some action required by Virgin to activate the BB?.

I only have a few days until my previous BB provider disconnects me.

My wife is a key worker at Coventry (UHCW) hospital and relies on the internet to work at home...so it needs sorting by the 7th at the latest.

Any assistance would be much appreciated.

Did you "activate" the Hub as per the instructions in the welcome pack ?

Either way - call in to see if has been done properly - 0800 953 9500

Re: New self install flashing green lights

Thanks...hung on for ages then the line went dead.
Now I'm beginning to remember why I left last time!
I'll try again in the morning..if I can't get it sorted I'll stick with my current provider.

They arent expecting customers or engineers to be activating Hubs etc at 9pm on a friday 🙂 I suspect its an 08.00-6pm service. Try again in the morning. If you have no luck come back here and a VM person may have picked this up and offer to help

Re: New self install flashing green lights

Thanks...that makes sense.

I did eventually get to speak to a very helpful person on that number and an engineer is due round on tuesday to sort the install.

I'll update with the fix.

Cheers

Re: New self install flashing green lights

So it turned out to be a problem with a unit in the box on the outside wall of my house.

Very helpful tech had it sorted and tested pretty quickly.

So all good.

Thanks
