New installation delay

My installation was originally planned for the 6th of May. A few days before that, I got a couple of calls from an engineer saying he was going to check the cables and stuff and asked to confirm that I was going to be present at the appointment. Then I received a text and my appointment is now rescheduled to the 14th of May. I gave customer service a call but they only mentioned that some construction works are needed without any further explanation. According to your experience, is this new date realistic or I have to expect longer times? I don't have broadband in the flat right now and I need it desperately. Plus I can see that the person who lived here before was with VM so I really don't understand the delay. Any help would be appreciated

Hi

if the issue is construction the new install date will be fine. Virgin need to have an open notice with the council to unblock the ducting. In my experience this gets resolved quickly.
