New customer; Wall box has male coaxial, cannot connect Hub 3

Hi all,

my quickstart Hub 3 arrived today. My virgin wallbox didn't have the female socket shown in the diagram. Opening it up reveals a male coaxial.

I got a female-to-female TV coaxial plug and tried to connect the Hub using that, but I just get the flashing green arrows. I don't think the TV female-female adaptor made a solid enough connection.

I can't seem to get hold of anyone to book an engineer visit.

Any advice welcome, thanks 🙂

The quickstart kit normally is a push fit onto the male connection. They used to be screw on, but are now just push fit. Also you will have to phone and get the Hub activated once it's connected.

The isolator is missing, which explains why you don't have the female connector (and protection against power surges). Get VM to send round a tech.

Re: New customer; Wall box has male coaxial, cannot connect Hub 3

thanks for the tip about getting the Hub activated.

(for info, though, the quickstart kit that turned up at mine terminates in a male at the "connect to the wall box" end).

Anyway I've got a tech coming on Tuesday afternoon now so hopefully they will be able to resolve it without too much hassle.

Thanks all
