I joined Virgin Media and an engineer came out on 7th Nov 2023 to set up my broadband, tv and telephone. He turns up and as it is a townhouse and tv on top floor, he does not have a ladder long enough to fit on 2nd floor. Tells me he will fit broadband on 1st floor but can only use a streaming box on 2nd floor. He says he will let customer services know and to get in touch if they do not call.
1. No call received I call and I am told I cannot amend my service
2. Second call I am told box will be in the post. Never received
3. Complaint sent. Email says there are some security issues at the property. I should call customer service.
4. Email to Ceo - not even aclnowledged
5. Called to cancel and I am now told that I refused the tv box which is obviously why the contract was not fulfilled.
At least be consistent with your excuses.
So still no tv. If this is how new customers are treated what would it be like when you have been a customer for a long time.
Despite not meeting their end of the contract, and me paying for a tv I do not have, I have been told I will be charged early termination fees for ending a contract that was never fully provided. How does that work?

The usual VM bullying of customers. If it's been less than 14 days since you were connected, you can cancel immediately without cost.
Otherwise you need to start a formal complaint. Keep it simple. Make it very clear that VM have still not completed the order you placed. You require them to complete the order with the TV box as ordered, or cancel the contract and take away the equipment.
