New connection for self build

amoltu
Joining in

We are about to build in our garden.

Currently have a virgin installation on M600.

We are the end house on the road and the new house will become the new end.

Do we have to get our existing connection moved to the new house (when it’s built) or can Virgin simply send a new fibre to the new house from the same junction?

And is there a department to contact. Not an option on 150 when I called!

VM would prefer to leave the original cable for the old house and install a new one for the new house, but this would depend on whether it's technically feasible to run the extra length.

But in any case you need your builder to run a conduit from a suitable location on the house to the front boundary, so that whichever broadband supplier you choose can run their cable in it.

My name is NOT Alessandro. That's just a tag Virginmedia sticks on some contributors. Please ignore it.
