New Setup

Just re-joined virgin media broadband + tv.  Previously had virgin boxes installed in 2 rooms using as follows: Room 1 to connect hub with ethernet connection to pc. Room 2 to connect tv box to tv.

The new kit suggests hub and tv box need to be next to each other.  Can I use the previously installed boxes to setup as before?

Re: New Setup

the V6 box needs a network connection as well. if you have good enough wifi that can be used but wired is recommended

Re: New Setup

Ok.  Could I then connect tv box using powerline socket adapter?

Re: New Setup

power line for the network yes but it will still also need a coax connection.

All VM boxed require a coax connection to work

Re: New Setup

Yes, see what you mean.  Presume if I've already got the virgin boxes in the 2 rooms I could just get 2 separate virgin connection cables to do the setup I want rather than use the cable provided in kit which seems to be a splitter box?
