New Hub but Old Wall Socket

received_672818879984249.jpeg

Hello. Just received our hub and boyfriend is trying to set it up. The photo shows what we have on our wall already but it doesn't match any of the photos on the set up guide.

Which part does the new cable need to be plugged into and how. The cable sent is a push on cable but all those in the photo are screw on ones.

Any help appreciated.

Re: New Hub but Old Wall Socket

The new connectors are designed to push over the thread of the F-type connectors. What you have looks like a powered HDU as there is obviously a weak signal at your location. Not used to these things.

Ah, an internal HD. Looks like you need a tech to tidy that up.

While you wait for a technician you can get this working by putting the cable on B2 or G, the new cables push over the screw fittings

Re: New Hub but Old Wall Socket

There's a coaxial cable which is plugged into a nearby socket, make sure you switch it on.
