Yep, a technician will bring all the necessary kit including a VM hub which is a combined cable modem and router with them. Hopefully any pre-install work has (or will have been) completed beforehand, in which case it's a quick and simple job.
If any external works have not been done then they won't be able to install the kit, and you'll get to experience VM's legendary customer care and communication. Fingers crossed that isn't the case.
