New Connection problem

Hi,thanks for reading. Ive had a new 500mb line  engineer install last month. It disconnected 15 minutes after he left, I called him and he told me there's an outage due to high demand and might take a few days to repair. So line would go on for a couple of hours and off for most of day making it impossible to use untill it went completely dead a couple of weeks ago and after an engineers re-visit, he replaced the isolator in the wall socket and back online...

well for 3 hours and then, on and off again. So upon reading this forum, I put the hub 3 in modem mode and it lasted for a whole day ( I thought problem solved ) but unfortunately by next mid morning the line went dead again, ( green arrows flashing on hub) and didnt come back on at all.

I managed to get through to the international call centre early saturday, they could'nt arrange an engineer visit but was told I would receive a engineer phone call by 6pm. I called them again at 9.30pm (no call received) and was told i'd receive an engineer call early the next morning, no call again. Sunday eve I managed to get through to a UK operator who arranged an engineer visit for this coming wednesday. So I switched the hub off since no point in staring at a flashing light and no connection.

This morning I switched it on by chance and got a connection. Has someone got any ideas? Could the hub be faulty? Does anyone from support here know if something has been done to the line or what checks could be done to solve this?

Any help appreciated. Here's some stats.

Re: New Connection problem

Well it lasted a whole day with great speeds until lunchtime today and has gone off again as expected with green flashing lights and no connection. I logged into router and it now gives downstream stats only which have dropped down to -6.5dbmv could this be the reason for disconnection, fluctuating power levels?
