New Broadband with no internet

Hi All

I am a returning customer having left a couple of years ago. My new broadband hub 3 arrived today which I have unboxed, plugged in to the old connection point on my wall, followed the online set up instructions and am receiving no internet whatsoever. The hub is displaying the wifi symbol lit green and the base light is flashing green.

Several resets and power off/on later, and the on screen diagnostics for the hub and still no internet.

Have also tried to phone virgin direct earlier today and was on hold for an hour before giving up.

Any suggestions please?
