Moving partly covered internal cable box

Hi,

I’m having work done in the living room, and in their wisdom, the builders have partially covered the white cable box for the internet. I have got a virgin technician coming out next week to relocate it to a better position, but does anyone know if the technician needs full access to the current box? They didn’t know when I telephoned CS.

Pic added (please don’t laugh - builders have done a runner - thankfully they haven’t been paid!)

I will probably only move it up slightly and to the wall on the left due to the skirting

Re: Moving partly covered internal cable box

Difficult to say without knowing where the new feed from outside will be located. But in theory the cable could just be cut outside and the old box abandoned.

You certainly need to be there when the technician comes to discuss exactly what you want done.

Re: Moving partly covered internal cable box

Thank you. That makes sense.
I’m hoping they can do exactly that, then I can repair the hole.
