I need to book an engineer to move equipment to a garage conversion from another part of the house. I have tried using live chat but that seems an impossible task as there is no help section under broadband to do with booking an engineer.
The garage is not attached to the main house would this be an issue? I would like the modem in the garage conversion and would run an ethernet cable to the router within the house itself
Please advise. Thanks

Omnibox is a brown/grey box on the ouside of the house. It has a cable down underground to the street cabinet and ones out of it and into your "house".
They will run more cable from that point to the new location.
20 feet is no issue

Should be ok (within reason) - as long as they can run cable from your external omnibox (without obstruction) to the garage location - and that that distance isnt too great
Call in on 150 (VM Phone - free) or 0345 454 1111 (any other phone - national rate) to arrange it - it will cost £25

The external box do you mean in the street or where it currently enters the house?
Its probably about 20 feet from where it currently enters house to garage

Hi @SusanAshy
Thanks for posting on our community forum and good evening.
As advised by the very helpful jbrennand - if you give the team a call on 150 [from any VM mobile or landline] or 0345 454 1111 they'll have this organised for you and our tech will come out and look to move your equipment for you.
Regards
