Does anyone know if it is a contractual requirement that the Brown omni box is external? 

I am renovating my house and could move the box inside the house, in a better location.

So the question is.. Is the box location a result of the 2 appointment Virgin set up or do engineers actually require external access?

The black cable that is tough enough to go outside would pump out toxic fumes if it were to catch fire, so isn't rated to be used indoors. VM are also replacing their co-ax network with fibre over the next few years, and if you didn't have an Omnibox then one would have to be added at that time.
