Hello, recently ive moved to a new area with my connection, and these are all the stats. Are the powel levels a bit too low , do they need adjustment guys? I would appreciate your advice. I have few forward path attenuators left (6db and 10db) from previous house but i dont think they would rise up the power levels. Please see attached photos.
thanks for using the forums to get this issue looked into with your broadband service, I am sorry its not quite up to spec as it should be.
I have taken the time to look into your services on my side and do a health check, which helped me find an issue with your HUB connections and your up/down stream levels. This will need an engineer call out to resolve which we will chat about further in a PM.
Thanks for your patience, we have now got your engineer booked in! Please let me know how the appointment goes on this public thread - avoid PMing me as it may not come through. If you still need help after the visit we will be here to help you 🙂
Hello again, since last engineer visit all levels were adjusted no issues at all. Since few days i noticed that my upstream is only locked on 2 parts instead 4 i might be wrong but more importantly levels went at over 50 and few drop outs have happened. Could you check my connection again please Virgin Media? Thanks
I've had a look at your details and can confirm that the CMTS (the piece of kit you connect to on our network) hasn't been upgrade to 4 upstream channels so the 2 channels are correct. I've also had a look at the rest of your network details and can confirm that the levels are all within range when looking at the live stats.
Can you tell us more about how your connection is behaving?
Hi, since last post the connection seems to be operating ok. Upstream levels dropped down to 44-45 so thats always good instead over 50. And havent had any drop outs yet at present. Thanks for your time.
