Locating main socket

Just moved in and previous owners have multiple VM boxes, how do we workout which is the main ones to connect the router to?

there is no main socket - if they are all connected back to the external box then they are all equal - so connect the router to whichever one you want and see if it works - base light should go white after a few minutes and you should be able to connectto the internet

you can test each in turn to kow if they are all working

Afraid not.

Essentially all the outlets are part of the main cable that has been split and you can only have one Hub per main cable.

Well, you CAN have 2 routers in a single house, but to do that means you need 2 accounts, and thus 2 bills. Probably not what you want! 

Better off having a virgin router and then your own router somewhere else linked via ethernet cable. 

You can however have the hub plugged into one outlet and the TV box plugged into a different one.
