Hi

I had VM installed in December and am still waiting to hear back from my complaint about the cabling outside. Should it be covered by a box or left bare as it is? Ignore the loose wiring as it was there before. The engineer at the time said the tape is all weather resistant and shouldn't be a problem, then later when I contacted him said he will come back to cover it. He never did and doesn't answer my messages, despite saying to contact him for any problems. Customer care is non-existent and impossible to get through to.

Should the cabling coming out of the ground be boxed up?

Ideally yes, but during the current pandemic if you have a working service it'll be classified as a non-emergency and maybe delayed.

It's not acceptable, no, but in the present circumstances it's probably all you will get. 

When everyone who needs to work from home has got connected and their video conferences have brought the network almost to a halt, perhaps the staff will have time to go back and fix these things.
