Internet went down yesterday. Virgin Status confirms there is a problem in my area. They "hope" to fix by 2pm today 8/09/22 (Last night it said 10am). No information on what they are doing to resolve. Website is a joke - sends you in circles. Lots of oops there is a problem with the web page.

I work from home and this is a real problem for me - nearly two lost working days - having to hotspot my phone to get any internet access.

VM never publish technical details of faults. If you totally depend on the internet, as you have a residential contract with no support SLA, you should look to have some sort of backup, either a business contract, or better still a second ISP connection or an 5G phone modem.

I did have a second connection - that was even worse. Even so I dont live in some backwater - this is in the middle of a well established infrastructure. As a comms company they are crap at communicating - auto generated answers - just like all the others. I think your reply was rather patronising - I already pay enough! Fortunately my phone contract with another provider allows me excellent 5G unlimited data - I want my service - I pay for it to be up 24/7!

Actually its not guaranteed 24/7 on the residential package ... as Tudor said you need a VM Business package with its SLA to get closer to that,

See these for info and what compensation you can expect..

I do not work for VM. My services: HD TV on VIP (+ Sky Sports & Movies & BT sport), x3 V6 boxes (1 wired, 2 on WiFi) Hub5 in modem mode with Apple Airport Extreme Router +2 Airport Express's. On Volt 350Mbps, Talk Anytime Phone, x2 Mobile SIM only iPhones.

Thank you for replying. I dont "need" a business package  - I am not self employed. Just me being frustrated at the poor comms. the residential is more than adequate - just fed up with the regualar drop outs and this latest full loss of service.
