Installing a WiFi booster

I’m trying to install a WiFi booster using the WPS buttons on the main router and the new booster. When I tried connecting to the extension booster it won’t accept the password I was using. I was using the same password as the router but it just won’t work. What can I do to make it work? Is there a way of changing the password on the main router just in case I changed it before and not remember changing it? Any advice would be much appreciated.

Re: Installing a WiFi booster

Hi

I’ve just set up two wifi boosters for the awful virgin media service I pay £130 for !!!

anyway if you select the wifi booster, normally with ext at the start/end from your settings and then the password should be the same as your router. If it does nit work you might need to re pair the booster with router using the WPS buttons

you need to pair the booster and router while in the same room

Re: Installing a WiFi booster

If you are in doubt about the Hub's password, reset it the factory default on the label by holding in the pin switch for 60 seconds.  It will reset both passwords.
