VM are very poor at communicating on new installations, so I don't hold out much hope anybody will know wth is going on. In the circumstances I'd recommend you try contacting your existing ISP and ask them to keep the connection live for another month?

I would strongly recommend that you don't cut off your existing services as until the cable has been connected to your property any number of things can happen that delays the process. Heck I had a cable and then they found out the cabinet was faulty!
