Installation issue

We were told when we ordered that virgin was available for a quick start self install at our new property, after moving in we’ve found that we don’t have a virgin wall socket.

can’t get through to speak to a human on the lines or live chat, so really don’t know what to do at this point.

Please help!

Re: Installation issue

In some past installations, a VM wall socket may not have been fitted and the connection may just be a trailing lead through the wall with a connector on the end.

If your property had its own VM connection, have a look outside and see if you can find the external VM wall box (usually brown or grey in colour) which receives the VM connections from out of the ground. If you can find that, see if you can trace the cables going inside to your property.

The 'Quick Start' offer just means that a connection was there in the past. Sometimes past occupiers remove these if they are not in use. If that's the case and, you really do have no connection, you will need to convert to a technician installation.

Re: Installation issue

There was an old NTL box outside but it had been blocked up inside so there was no more access. Managed to get a technician eventually but this was very helpful! Thank you
