Installation costs

I recently joined Virgin Media. I have been assured many times that I did not have to pay any one off activation costs and still my bill is displaying £ 65 one off costs. Every time I call or chat with the assistance (I already did it several times) they promise that in 48/72h the charge will be waived and that never happens. Has this happened to anybody?

You are normally charged an activation fee, and I've always had to pay it.

In the building I live all the flats have a Virgin router and are connected to Virgin Media. Since for some reasons the activation was not working they had to send an engineer, but no one told me I was going to get charged for that.

The charge sounds correct to me, an activation fee is almost always a charge, and if an engineer did come out they normally charge £30-£35 for that.

Sorry to hear the installation didnt go to plan 

The charge you have incurred would be the standard charge for all customers 

Have you checked your online account to see if the credit has been applied

It is the richness of the English language again! You do not have to pay an installation fee, but there is a ‘connection’ fee.
