Hub 4 drop in Upstream speed

Over the last week or so I've noticed a drop in the Upstream speed of my 1 Gig broadband.

There has been no change in the internal network at home, connection via known good Ethernet cabling.

I normally use my Hub 4 in modem mode, so have limited web UI access (appears to be a known issue with web access to the Hub 4 needing a reboot to restore access after about a day).

I did a reset and put the Hub 4 back to router mode, and then a RealSpeed test on SamKnows:

So the Download speed looks correct, however the Upload speed is poor, with increased latency and a bit of packet loss.

Previous SpeedTest.net results have been very good with typical 945/55 and 9ms latency results; however these are now showing a drop in Upload and increase in latency:

Hi tim_hamblin,

Welcome to the community 🙂 I'm sorry to see the upload speeds have dropped on your connection lately.

I can see some issues on the upstream channels around the time you posted. It does look like there were a fair few errors on upstream data. Things have settled down since the weekend. I've tested the hub and network again today and everything looks fine at the moment. Will you keep an eye on things please, and let me know if the problems persist?

SpeedTest upload seems to be a lot better now (Hub 4 in modem mode)...

Looking on the Hub 4 web UI, can see there have been Upstream T3 timeouts and Uncorrectable errors on the 3.1 downstream (since the reboot of 24/09/20):

Thanks for the update on how your HUB is performing, now that its been a few days I just want to check in on how things are now?

If you are still encountering issues then please try rebooting your HUB and do another speed test and BMQ test so I can see what is happening please 🙂

I had to reboot the Hub 4 this morning - as the webUI wasn't accessible to check the Network status...

Currently there are no T3 timeouts showing on the Upstream (however only been up for a few hours).
Prior to the Hub4 webUI being inaccessible, I do recall that since the reboot on 01/10 after three days there were 29 T3 timeouts on the Upstream.

Are VM working on a new firmware to address the loss of Hub 4 webUI access (which requires a reboot to resolve)?
