Home phone kerp ringing when Internet drops in and out

Each time signals drops in and out home phone rings - which is quite often at the moment and we have only been on virgin a week.

Check any local issue with:

Check with Area faults on 0800 561 0061 If you have a VM landline 150 this goes down to post code level. You could also try the web page status, but this is not recommended as it only covers issues that affect a very large number of customers.

Please also provide some stats:

How to get stats from a VM hub (no need to logon to the hub)

Open a web browser and go to 192.168.0.1 router mode or 192.168.100.1 modem mode

  • Click on the “> Check router status” button
  • Click on the “Downstream” tab, copy the text and paste into your reply, do not take a screen shot
  • Click on the “Upstream” tab, copy the text and paste into your reply
  • Click on the “Networking” tab, copy the text and paste into your reply.
    • Do NOT post photos or screen shots they will be rejected as they contain MAC addresses. The board software will automatically change MAC addresses to **:** if done as above.

Sorry to hear of the issues you've been experiencing on the connection, and the ringing of the landline phone when the service drops.

I've looked into the local area and cannot see any issues that may be the cause of this fault.

How have the services performed since your post?

Thankyou for message  - home phone still gives 3 x rings when Internet drops out, not sure why ?

Can I ask if you have tried a full factory reset on your Hub since noticing this issue? To do this push a pen etc into the reset hole at the back of the Hub and hold in for 60 seconds?
