Having extra v6 box installed in same room as hub.

Will the virgin installer be able to Ethernet cable connect v6 to hub? Or will I have to use a wireless connection. It’s in the same room and about 7 feet away.

Virgin will set up over wifi and coax, they do not carry 7ft ethernet cables

I work for Virgin Media and my posts are my own opinions

An Ethernet cable is good for 100m, so 7ft is nothing to worry about.

Does this mean. The installer will provide Ethernet cable and connect v6 to the hub?

Yes, he has cables but it's a good idea for you to have a length of cat 5e or cat 6 patch cable in case you need to test his cable or to connect another device to the hub, cost is only a few Pounds on eBay.
