Getting an engineer during lockdown

Hi guys,

I’m a new customer to Virgin Media and purchased their m100 broadband before Christmas. I haven’t been able to set up and I believe it’s due to the compatibility of the wires sent and my wall socket (as my wall socket is not specifically a Virgin wall socket).

An engineer was due to come tomorrow 5th Jan but with news of the national lockdown I’m unsure if this will still go ahead. Can I still expect them to come? Anyone with experience from the March lockdown? 

any help would be appreciated

They are still doing installations in a Covid safe fashion (they did in lockdown-1) so they should still come out - unless you tell them you are self isolating due to a positive test, etc
