Getting a new router?

I have a Virgin Router Hub 3.0 on 200mbps.

I have a decorator in at the moment and he has trodden on the router and damaged the case and connection.

The broadband went off but by "wiggling" the cable I have got it working again.

However I would like to replace the router as I don't want to risk a dodgy Broadband connection.

Just tried to phone up to order a new Virgin router but was left waiting on the line for 30 minutes and did not get to speak to anyone so gave up.

Is there a quick and easy way of ordering a new router. I realise I may have to pay for this replacement router.

Re: Getting a new router?

A VM forum staff member should pick this up - but it will take a day or two.

Re: Getting a new router?

Hi guilbert,

Thanks for your post 🙂

Sorry to hear of there's been some damage to your hub.

As you've advised this has been damaged in your home through no fault of ours, there would be a £99 charge to replace this.

Let me know if you'd like me to go ahead and arrange this and I can pop you over a private message.

Re: Getting a new router?

Hi,

I knocked my router off a high cupboard this evening accidentally, and although it's working, there is something rattling inside. Totally my fault and I would like to arrange a replacement. Can someone help please? I've tried calling/messaging but due to COVID-19, I can't get through.

Thank you.

Re: Getting a new router?

One of the joys of being with VM is all their equipment is locked.

If you was any service provided by the Openreach line and damaged your router you could pick a used one on ebay for £15 and its plug and play...not cut throat £99.
