Flashing Base LED

Our wifi and tv stopped working on Friday morning and I can’t seem to get it working again. There’s a green flashing light on our Virgin media box - the very bottom base LED. I’ve unplugged and reset everything multiple times but nothing will work. Extremely frustrating as both my husband and I work from home and rely heavily on having good wifi. Can some please help??

Check for local issues on 0800 561 0061 and ensure that all cables and connections are tight and secure and not kinked or damaged.

@mckeons the flashing bottom light on the hub means that it is unable to connect to the rest of the VM infrastructure, so either there is a local issue or you have a damaged connection somewhere.

So follow the advice give by @Anonymous and first call the number to check for any local issues. If all clear then, then check all of the connections between the hub and the ‘omnibox’ on the outside wall and ensure that there are no issues there. Eventually you will need to call VM and report a complete loss of connectivity and request an engineer visit.

Hi mckeons

Thanks for posting and welcome to the community. I am sorry to hear of any service issues. I have not been able to locate your system details from the forum information provided but note you have an IE email address, are you currently based in Ireland? If so, this is only the UK Forum I'm afraid. https://www.virginmedia.ie/contact/ - this should help as well 🙂

If not, let me know either way if you need assistance.

Best,
