Fibre speed intermittent - engineer been already no improvement

Hi, I have just given my 30 day's notice as I only signed up again if VM could get my speed constancy, as I get drop outs all the time and speeds ranging from 108 to 12mb.

Engineer came and increased the speed from the cabinet and gave me booster, but the same issues are here. The Tivo is also very unresponsive at times.

Re: Fibre speed intermittent - engineer been already no improvement

are those levels after the tech altered them - if so someone needs to have a word in his ear the downstream levels are awful -6 is the minimum - i dont wonder you have problems

@ModTeam can someone get a tech to sort this - indications are tech left it like this

Re: Fibre speed intermittent - engineer been already no improvement

do you have an attenuator in the line - between the input and the hub - if so remove it and see what the downstream is

Re: Fibre speed intermittent - engineer been already no improvement

a photo would help - but is it a short barrel connector - maybe has a number on it -3 -6 -10 are common - if so its there to reduce the input level to the hub - remove it and look at the downstream levels and see if they have risen

guess work but i would not think a tech would leave the hub with levels like that so wondering if he tested at the cab or the omnibox and missed the attenuator

It will look something like this:
