Failed Installation

Hi

I have signed up to Virgin media broadband and had some external work done on my house. The external team came round on the 26 of september after i placed my order on the 23 they set up the box outside and left. So when the engineer to install my broadband came round on the 14 of October they went to the box outside and said there was no signal and the external team would need to come around again and run a new line to the box. 

So i rang up to get a new install date which will be this saturday the 12 of November which was quiet the wait but they assured me the external work would be done in time. so far I have had no contact from the external team saying they will be doing some work outside my house.

And now i am worried that the engineer will come round say they cant install my broadband and i will have to wait another month to get another engineer to come round and attempt to install it then.

So i am wondering if anyone else has had an issue like this and did it get sorted out?

Unfortunately it is very common.

I have been waiting for over 3 months.

I'm losing count, but I think the appointment for tomorrow morning that they cancelled this afternoon was the 4th that they have cancelled so far.

You seem to be in the same boat as me. Be prepared to wait another few months.

Don't believe a word they tell you as they tell you lies after lies after lies after lies.

It is truly exhausting and frustrating dealing with them. They really do not care one bit.

You can try raising a complaint, but they will likely ignore you as well.

Sometimes these can get held up due to planning permission and many other factors.

New around here?

This has since been sorted out, the external team came round yesterday. 

But I did recive the confirmation text 15 minutes after they arrived. I just hope other people will have the luck I did in getting it done on time.
