Exposed cables

I have had cables installed some time ago but they are too superficial that they are exposed on top of the soil and garden and not below ground level to their specification.  I am  planning on some garden work and these cables are in the way and they are unsightly and dangerous. Can this be rectified?FAF908D6-2A77-4B5F-A0F9-06C6AAC68FA4.jpegA9476ECA-8868-4E4D-A249-492542E3EC06.jpeg

Re: Exposed cables

When you do your garden work you can bury them deeper

Re: Exposed cables

There is no specification for depth of burial of these cables.

Re: Exposed cables

Back in the early days of cable installations, the accepted depth was one spade depth.

Re: Exposed cables

It wasn't actually, it was "up to a spades depth" many a time I couldn't get anywhere near that due to roots of hedges

Re: Exposed cables

Hi @Jb555,

Welcome to the forums and many thanks for your recent post!

I'm sorry to see that these cables are exposed in your garden - thanks for providing the pictures for us to see.

I've been able to locate your account using the details you've registered to forums with and can see you've managed to speak with customer services in the meantime about this and that there's an appointment booked for a re-bury.

Glad to see this is getting resolved for you!

Please drop back if there's anything we can assist with in the meantime.

Thanks,

Molly_G
