Exposed cable driveway - not Virgin customer

Hi,

We have a small black square box and a large section of exposed cable on our driveway which then appears to go into next doors garden  It is dangerous and a trip hazard and we would like it removed.  We are not and have never been Virgin Media customers since moving here in 2017.  Can anyone advise me whether Virgin Media will remove the cable and check whether the cable is actually live/runs to any neighbours who have Virgin Media?

Were there any Wayleave agreements in place when you bought the house?
VM have no right to install anything within your ownership boundary without one.

Re: Exposed cable driveway - not Virgin customer

Hi,

Thank you for your reply

No Wayleave agreements - The box is on edge of  our drive so beyond boundary but the concrete pavement has crumbled so it looks like it is in our garden/driveway.  The cable is most definitely in our garden/driveway.  What can be done about it?  I’d like VM to put it right/remove

Sorry to hear of the potential trip hazard, I'll seek to take some details off you to see if we can have this resolved for you
