Expansion onto my street

Hi All, I live in the S73 area and myself and my neighbours would like VM on our street. We live in the middle off a Catv area and have a DP about 40 mtrs away. My street is a new build, which was built on old school grounds and has 24 houses on it with VM all around us, but BT is the only ISP on our street. Would it be possible for VM to extend Network into our street.

Hi @Field-Tech thanks for your post here in the Community - welcome!

I would advise looking on our website here for you, as it then should ask you to enter your postcode. Once entered, it will of course say that your services are non-serviceable but still it'll ensure that you are contacted if we can serve the area in the future, as you've registered your interest.

I hope this helps and please let me know if you require any further help.

Many thanks

New build estates are only serviceable if the builder has put in the VM infrastructure as part of the build. Many do not as it increases costs putting in additional ducting & the house internal wiring. Once the estate is completed there is usually an embargo on any company digging up the streets for a number of years (up to 5 years is normal), or when the road management passes to the local authority.
